Rust Captain — AfterCore Protocol

The Rust Captain is the tactical leader of the Rustborn Militia's Command Squad — a pragmatic veteran built for authority in a world where rank is earned through iron and function.

Sculpted in ZBrush at 32mm scale, designed for resin printing. The main challenge was packing narrative into a small-scale figure: the gas mask integrated with an officer's cap, the optical implant, the layered strap system — each element had to read clearly at tabletop distance. The contrast between the worn fabric textures and the rigid metal components was key to grounding the design. The scenic base — fractured concrete and corroded rebar — closes the visual loop without competing with the figure.
